On-going Opportunities

September – June

Every Wednesday

7:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday Night Spiritual Life Group

Led by: Pastor Michael Bush

We are currently reading and discussing the book of Genesis. The stories of Genesis have greater power and potency than we perhaps knew in our childhood versions. We uncover some of this potency as we look at ancient symbols and metaphors, historical context, and more.

Each week we begin with prayer and then read a portion of the scripture passage.  We then we discuss what the story meant in its own time, how it informs our understandings of God, the Israelites, and how these stories can and do form and shape us in our time. Come and see!

September – June

Every Thursday

10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Thursday Morning Spiritual Life Group

Each week we begin with prayer and then read a portion of the scripture passage.  We then we discuss what the story meant in its own time, how it informs our understandings of God, the Israelites, and how these stories can and do form and shape us in our time. Come and see!

Upcoming Seasonal Opportunities

March 5 – April 9

Sunday mornings

9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Living in the Present

Led by: Shannon Mudd & Rebecca Doyle

During the six weeks of Lent, we will read and discuss The Naked Now by Richard Rohr. The book explores methods for letting go of division without and within ourselves and living in the present. The chapters draw from the Gospels, Paul, and other writings drawn from our Christian tradition, particularly those of contemplatives. They are filled with sayings, stories, and quotations  to focus our own explorations and group discussions. Join us as we share our responses and explore simple practices for stripping away obstacles often rooted in fear and ego that keep us from dwelling fully in the present.
